Human Mind, Hand and Heart in Creation

I remember standing quietly in front of a painting, surrounded by the soft hush of a museum. People passed behind me, their footsteps echoing faintly, yet for a moment, everything else seemed to disappear.

Before me were paintings by artists who had lived more than a century ago. Artists whose hands I would never hold, whose voices I would never hear, and whose lives I could only understand through the traces they had left behind. And yet, somehow, I felt as though I knew them.

That is the beauty of creation: the ability to leave a part of ourselves behind, long after we are gone. To transform something once held only in our hearts and minds into something others can see, feel, and remember.

This is what I have always yearned to do with Starry: to create something beyond a garment—something that carries a story, holds a memory, and becomes part of someone else's life.

As I prepare to share the beginning of Starry's final chapter, I find comfort in knowing that what we create does not always end when we do. Sometimes, it continues quietly in the lives of others, carrying a little of who we once were.

And perhaps that is enough.
